Batch testing

Independent testing means a laboratory with no commercial stake in the result analyses a sample and reports what it finds. It's the difference between a brand telling you a product is what it says it is, and a third party confirming it.

A certificate of analysis (COA) is the document a laboratory produces recording what they tested a specific batch for, the methods used, and the results.

Testing a formula once, at launch, only tells you about that one batch. Ingredients vary between suppliers and production runs. We test each batch individually and publish results against that batch's own number — not a generic spec sheet for the product line.

The laboratory that carried out the testing, the date of analysis, the batch number matching the one on your bottle, and each analyte tested against its specification and result.

If a batch does not meet specification it is not sold. Where a batch has already shipped and a subsequent result requires it, we will contact affected customers directly and publish the outcome here rather than withdrawing the certificate quietly.

Your batch number is printed on the base of the bottle, below the best-before date. Look it up in the certificate library below once available, or contact us at info@elaboratenutrition.co.uk with your batch and order number.
